Hall student is district STAR Student

JASPER - Johnson High senior Michael Vaughan has been named the District II STAR Student.

Vaughn and his STAR Teacher, JHS Lauguage Arts instructor Valarie Noble, will now compete for State STAR Student and Teacher honors.

The winners at that level will be announced April 29 in Atlanta.

They were competing with representatives from eleven other northeast Georgia school systems:
Gainesville City, Dawson County, Pickens County, Gilmer County, Fannin County, Union County, Towns County, Rabun County, Lumpkin County, Habersham County, and White County.

Vaughn scored a perfect 1600 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), a primary criteria in the selection process.
