GAINESVILLE - The Lakeview Academy girls tennis team dropped just one game combined in the first four matches in taking a 4-1 win over Rabun Gap Thursday.<br>

It was a solid Region 8-A opener for the Lady Lions (3-2, 1-0).<br>

Cassie Martinbeat Christina Wieck 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Amey Kearns and Dianna Briggs both took 6-0, 6-0 wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles.<br>

Kearns beat Megan Funkhouser and Brigges beat Jessica Cline.<br>

The No. 1 doubles team of Katie Clark and Sarina Bholé beat Akyere White and Max Hermes 6-0, 6-0.<br>
<br>
The No. 2 doubles team of Sarah Joseph and Sara Joiner fell to Hannah Maguire and Brittany Johnson 7-5, 6-2.
