STATESBORO - Brian Harrison pitched two-hit ball over six innings, helping Georgia Southern beat High Point 17-4 in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday.<br>

The Panthers (1-1) took an 11-1 lead on seven errors and six walks and won the opener 14-7.<br>

The Eagles (1-1) rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the third inning of the nightcap. Jason Hurst started the comeback with a two-run triple in the third, and a sacrifice fly by Flint Wipke in the fourth cut High Point's lead to one.<br>

Later in the inning, Greg Dowling gave Georgia Southern the lead for good with a two-run single, driving home Brandon Ponder and Brandon Long for a 5-4 lead.<br>

Josh Doane drove in four runs in the first game for High Point, and teammate Corey Stand added three RBIs. The Panthers chased Dustin Evans in the fifth after he allowed eight runs on six hits.
