TROY, ALABAMA - Ryan Heck hit a 3-pointer and Kendrick Johnson sank two free throws in the final 32 seconds to clinch Troy State's 81-77 victory Sunday over Mercer.<br>

Andrew Brown's layup with 1:01 remaining cut the Trojans' lead to a single point, making it 76-75.<br>

Heck's 3-pointer widened the margin, but Brown answered with a fast-break shot, cutting it down to 79-77 at 23 second mark.<br>

Johnson hit his pair of free throws 9 seconds later after a foul by James Odoms, sealing the victory for the Trojans (17-5, 13-2 Atlantic Sun Conference).<br>

Rob Lewin and Greg Davis finished with 13 points each for Troy State, while Johnson added 10.<br>

Lewin also grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds, though the Trojans were outrebounded 39-37.<br>

Odoms and Brown each scored 24 points for Mercer (10-13,7-7) and Wesley Duke added 11.<br>

The Trojans hit 50 percent of their shots in the first half, building up to a 44-42 halftime lead. They hit 43 percent overall, holding Mercer to 41 percent shooting.
