CLEMSON, S.C. - Brian Scafe hit a two-RBI double to lead Charlotte to a 5-4 victory against Clemson on Tuesday.<br>

Charlotte (2-3) put three runs up in the fourth inning and one in the seventh. The Tigers cut the lead to 4-3 with two runs at the bottom of the seventh.<br>

Charlotte answered with a run in the ninth inning. Clemson's Ryan Hub scored on a wild pitch for the game.<br>

Brad McCann got the Tigers on the board in the first inning with a solo home run to left-center field. McCann went 4-for-5 with two RBIs for the Tigers' season opener.<br>

The two teams combined to use 18 pitchers in the three-hour contest. Matt Landphair (2-0) got the win for Charlotte, while Steven Jackson took his first lost of the season for the Tigers.
