JONESBORO - Both Johnson High basketball teams get back in state playoff action Friday night in the second round of the Class AAA tournament but four other Hall County teams will have to wait until Saturday to get back on the court.
The Johnson girls will play Avondale at 7 p.m. at Mt. Zion high School in Jonesboro. The Johnson boys will play Elbert County at 8:30 p.m.
Both Gainesville teams, the East Hall boys and Flowery Branch girls will see action Saturday at Mt. Zion.
The Gainesville girls will play Elbert County at 4 p.m., the East Hall boys will play Avondale at 5:30 p.m., the Flowery Branch girls will play Grayson at 7 p.m. and the Gainesville boys will play old rival Lovett at 8:30 p.m.
The second round of the state basketball playoffs began Wednesday but the North Sectionals scheduled for Thursday were postponed for one day because of the heavy snow storms that swept through north Georgia.
Friday's games were moved to Saturday and Saturday's games to Monday of next week for the North Sectionals only. The South Sectionals were played as scheduled Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
