SAN FRANCISCO - Former University of Georgia star running back Garrison Hearst was cut by the San Francisco 49ers Thursday.<br>

According to reports, Hearst and the 49ers were not able to reach an agreement on a new contract.<br>
<br>
Hearst, 33, missed the final four games of the 2003 season with an ankle injury and, statiscally had the worst season since he sat out the 1999-2000 seasons following an ankle injury.<br>
<br>
He will be an unrestricted free agent.
