Panthers fall to Stetson

DELAND, FLORIDA - Karl Hollingsworth and Borislav Djordjic combined for 39 points to lead Stetson to a 79-70 victory over Georgia State on Saturday night.<br> <br> Hollingsworth scored 20 points mostly on 7-of-12 shooting for Stetson (2-2, 1-1 Atlantic Sun Conference) and Djordjic made eight-of-15 shots on his way to 19 points.<br> <br> Djordjic also led Stetson&#39;s 43-28 advantage on the boards with 14 rebounds. Anthony Register added 11 points and six assists, while Will Holloman chipped in with 10 points for the Hatters.<br> <br> Marcus Brown led Georgia State with 22 points and paced the Panthers (2-4, 0-2) with eight rebounds. Kevin Thomas had 14 points for Georgia State and Tikoyo Barnett added 13.<br> <br> Djordjic scored 12 points in the first half and gave Stetson a 23-21 lead with 7:33 to play. The Hatters never relinquished the lead.<br> <br> The Panthers got within 10 points in the final minutes, cutting the Hatters&#39; lead to five points at 75-70 on two free throws by Brown with 38 seconds left.<br> <br> Stetson scored the final four points from the free throw line as Register and Djordjic each converted a pair of free throws. The Hatters made 15 of their last 18 free throws to protect their lead.
