GAINESVILLE - The number of permits issued last month for new, single-family homes in Gainesville and Hall County changed little from October.
According to Gainesville/Hall County Building Inspection Services, there were seven permits approved for new home construction in the city and 73 in the county. The houses are expected to cost nearly $13 million - an average of just over $162,000.
In the city, there were also 47 permits issued for commercial/industrial construction - led by one permit for a $1.5 million project.
