MACON - Will Emerson scored 16 points and had eight rebounds to lead Mercer to its fourth straight victory, an 89-66 triumph over Fort Valley State Tuesday night.<br>

The Bears (5-1) used a 22-4 run in the opening minutes of the second half to break open the game. Fort Valley (2-3) committed 23 turnovers, which Mercer converted into 32 points.<br>

James Odoms added 12 points and Sam Dolan notched a career-high 12 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in 16 minutes.<br>

The Wildcats cut the lead to two at the 15:30 mark, but the Bears moved back to an 11-point lead with just over nine minutes left in the half and led 42-31 at intermission.<br>

Ray Northern led Fort Valley with 15 points, and Kendall Ruffin scored 13.
