SUGAR HILL - Hours after he was named in court papers as a suspect in his wife's shooting death, a Dacula dentist dropped by the victim's funeral, rattling some of the woman's relatives.
Dr. Barton Corbin sat next to his mother Friday at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church, where his wife, Jennifer, had worked as a part-time preschool teacher.
After the 90-minute service, some family members said they were shocked Corbin made his first public appearance since her death at her funeral.
``I think Jennifer's family was on edge,'' said Lindsay Cathy, a close friend of Jennifer Corbin.
Barton Corbin's family sat on one side of the church, while his wife's family sat on the other.
Earlier in the day, a court affidavit named Corbin as a suspect in his wife's death. He has not yet been charged. Also on Friday, authorities in Richmond County said they had reopened their investigation into the 1990 shooting death of a 27-year-old dental student who had been dating Corbin, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
