NEW ORLEANS - Marcus Kinzer had 14 points and eight assists to lead Tulane to a 74-55 win over Savannah State on Saturday night.<br>

Quincy Davis had 17 points, nine rebounds and two blocks for the Green Wave while Vincent Camper added a season-best 13 points and David Gomez had a career-best 10 rebounds.<br>

Despite struggling to hit from outside, Tulane (3-4) dominated in the paint and on the glass. Tulane outscored the Tigers 42-20 in the paint.<br>

Tulane led 32-31 at halftime.<br>

Savannah State (0-13) challenged the Wave to hit from outside, but Tulane was off the mark on 23-of-27 3-point attempts. But Tulane held a 50-31 advantage in rebounding.<br>

Leading 40-37, a Davis dunk ignited an 8-0 run which made it 48-37 with 12:38 left. Savannah State cut the lead to 50-44, but Tulane went on an 11-2 run to build a 15-point lead with 6:43 to go. The Wave connected on 9-of-12 free throws over the final 2:47 to wrap up the victory.<br>

Savannah State was led by Donald Carson's 19 points while Brandon Emerson posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
