Hall sheriff sworn in for new term

GAINESVILLE - Hall County Sheriff Steve Cronic has been sworn in for a second four-year term.

After the swearing-in ceremony at the Hall County Courthouse, Gainesville Police Chief Frank Hooper presented Sheriff Cronic with a National Accreditation Pin.

Chief Hooper also praised him for his "vision and hard work" in obtaining State Certification for the sheriff's department and a recently completed application and on-site evaluation for national accreditation.

Cronic was elected without opposition last month.
