SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) James Odoms scored 19 points, 13 of them in the second half, to lead six Mercer players in double figures as the Bears defeated winless Savannah State 98-81 Thursday night.<br> <br> Jacob Skogen scored 16 and Will Emerson added 15 for Mercer (6-2), which lost an early lead and had to scramble back for a 39-38 halftime edge. Wesley Duke had 14 points and 12 rebounds, Damitrius Coleman had 11 points and eight assists, and Andrew Walker scored 10 for the Bears.<br> <br> Mark Williams led the Tigers (0-16) with 25 points, including 5-of-5 from 3-point range. Sherrard Reddick had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Josh Barker scored 15.<br> <br> Consecutive 3-pointers by Williams turned a 2-point deficit into an 18-14 lead for Savannah State with 9:04 to play in the first half. Barker&#39;s basket with two seconds left gave the Tigers their last lead, 38-37, but Tyler McCurry scored as time expired to put the Bears up by 1.<br> <br> Mercer steadily pulled away in the second half and led by as many as 19 points, 91-72, with 3:05 remaining.
