New twist in the case of murdered Buford woman

By by Ken Stanford
ALPHARETTA - A former college classmate of the Buford man suspected of killing his wife earlier this month now says he lied to police 14 years ago when he was questioned in connection with the death of his buddy's then-girlfriend.

Eric Rader, an Alpharetta dentist, said he went along with Barton Crobin's request that he not tell investigators in Augusta that he knew about a gun Doorthy Hearn's father had given her.

Corbin is also a dentist, who practices in Gainesville and Dacula.

He was indicted last week by a Richmond County Grand Jury in Augusta after authorities there reopened the Hearn case after the death of Jennifer Corbin Dec. 4.
