Georgia teams enter Division II playoffs

UNDATED - Albany State managed to finish the regular season unbeaten.<br> <br> Now, the Golden Rams (10-0) enter the second round of the Division II playoffs after a bye week to face Arkansas Tech. With the Number 12 Wonder Boys led by quarterback Jason Campbell and defensive end Cedric Cursh, the third-ranked Rams may find themselves in an evenly matched contest at Albany Municipal Coliseum.<br> <br> Campbell has completed 59 percent of his passes for 2,689 yards and 25 touchdowns this season. In a 24-20 win over Catawba last week in the first round, he completed 20-of-24 passes for 254 yards but no touchdowns.<br> <br> Cursh had a sack for a safety that gave Tech the lead in the third quarter. Then he forced a fumble with 38 seconds left in the fourth to end a late rally.<br> <br> The Rams, who are the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions, hold a 17 game-winning streak - the longest in Division II.<br> <br> Valdosta (10-1), which lost to Albany State 24-22 early this season, will play Carson-Newman at home after having a week off.<br> <br> This will be the third consecutive meeting in the postseason between both teams. The Blazers won the playoff matchup 31-28 in 2002, but fell to the Eagles 35-29 last year.<br> <br> In the only other small college game on Saturday, Savannah State (3-7) plays host to Howard.
