STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) Georgia Southern hit a flurry of three-pointers in the first half and went on to defeat Brewton Parker 92-59 in non-conference basketball action on Saturday.<br>

The Eagles (2-3) made 10-of-15 three-pointers in the half, led by Elton Nesbitt who hit six of his seven shots from beyond the arc.<br>

Nesbitt started the barrage just 11 seconds into the game and added his second a minute later after a Sean Olivier jumper to make it 8-0 Georgia Southern.<br>

The Barons' Richard Wilson connected on a jumper to get Brewton Parker (4-2) on the board only to have Nesbitt add two more three-pointers to push the GSU lead to 14-2. The Barons fought back and cut their deficit to 17-14 with 14:37 to go, only to have Georgia Southern answer with a 27-7 run to push its advantage to 23 points.<br>

Brewton Parker scored 11 of the first 13 points of the second half to slice its deficit to as low as 55-43, but Georgia Southern proved to be too much.<br>

The Eagles lead reached 32, at 87-55, with 3:01 to go. Alex Kaklamanos' first career three with 26 seconds remaining set the final score and gave the Eagles 12 three-pointers for the game.<br>

Nesbitt scored a game-high 23 points while Jean Francois and Louis Graham tallied 13 and Terry Williams 11. The Eagles shot 47 percent in the game, including 60 percent in the first half, and recorded a season-high 11 steals.<br>

Wilson scored 14 points to lead Brewton Parker, while Ben McGlynn had 11. The Barons shot 42 percent in the game, but struggled with 17 turnovers.
