ATLANTA - Weldon Watts blocked a punt, then recovered it for a touchdown and Sherrod Natson scored on a 12-yard pass to help Statesboro to a 17-0 win over Salem in the Class AAAA state semifinals on Friday.<br>

The Eagles (14-0), who won the 2001 state title, will meet Warner Robins in the championship game next week.<br>

Salem (13-1) punted on its first possession, but it was blocked and picked up for the touchdown by Watts.<br>

Then Statesboro took advantage of a 15-yard roughing the punter penalty, scoring on a 12-yard touchdown pass by David Cone to Natson with 54 second left in the second quarter. The Blue Devils allowed 49 total yards to take a 14-0 lead at halftime.<br>

Statesboro caused five turnovers - three interceptions and two recoveries. Running backs Nick Wedlow, Charles Rock and Gavin McCollough combined for 154 yards on the ground.<br>

Salem's Jayson Williams ran for 31 yards on 12 carries.<br>
