STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) Chaz Williams passed for 156 yards and four touchdowns and scored twice to lead Georgia Southern to a 48-to-14 victory over Elon today.<br>

Williams tied the school record for T-D passes shared by Tracy Ham and Greg Hill as the third-ranked Division One-Two A Eagles (4-1, 3-0 Southern Conference) won their fourth game in a row since opening the season with a loss at Number Three Georgia. The Phoenix fell to one and three in their conference opener.<br>

The Eagles played without their top two fullbacks, with starter Jermine Austin on suspension for violating team rules and reserve Brandon Andrews sitting out his second game with an ankle injury.
