Trojans remain seventh in AAA, Buford third in AA

ATLANTA - There were no changes in the latest Associated Press high school football poll in Class AAA.<br> <br> North Hall (8-0) remains seventh in Class AAA after a 56-7 win over Gilmer last week. No other northeast Georgia teams were ranked in Class AAA.<br> <br> In Class AA, Buford remained third with GAC moving up two spots to sixth in the poll.<br> <br> In Class A, Jefferson fell out of the top 10 while Commerce is just one point behind No. 10 Bowden.<br> <br> There were few surprises in the rankings as a whole as only three new teams entered the poll - all at No. 10 - as region playoffs approached.<br> <br> In Class AA, Savannah Christian (8-1) fell three positions to No. 9 after losing its first game of the year to Toombs County. Thomasville (6-1) moved up to No. 8. Coosa&#39;s loss to Calhoun made way for its exit and made room for Dublin to enter at No. 10. Vidalia, Fitgerald and Buford round out the top three, respectively.<br> <br> The Class AAAA rankings have former No. 10 St. Pius X moving out of the poll after an idle week with Creekside taking its place. No. 6 Warner Robins and No. 7 Sandy Creek flip-flopped and all other teams maintained their previous ranking.<br> <br> The only change in the Class A poll is Bowdon (6-2) becoming the new member at No. 10 after Jefferson vacated the position with a 34-31 loss to Commerce. Hawkinsville (8-0) continues as the strong No. 1 favorite with 15 first-place votes followed by No. 2 Pacelli Catholic (8-0) and No. 3 Clinch County (8-1).<br> <br> No. 8 Walton (7-1) and No. 9 Harrison (7-1) exchanged positions in Class AAAAA, representing the only moves. No. 1 Camden County, No. 2 Lowndes and No. 3 Parkview remain on top.
