Dorsey Jr., others arrested in raid, have court appearance

<p>Sidney Dorsey Jr. and 62 other people who were arrested on a variety of charges in an early morning raid over the weekend had their first court appearance Monday morning.</p><p>Dorsey is the son of former DeKalb County Sheriff Sidney Dorsey, who is serving a life sentence for masterminding the December 2000 murder of his elected successor, Derwin Brown. The younger Dorsey was arrested on weapons charges at Club Chug-a-lug in northwest Atlanta, and police said he was acting as an armed guard for the club.</p><p>Heavily armed policemen raided the business at about 4 a.m. Saturday morning after a long undercover investigation sparked by neighbors who complained that there appeared to be prostitution and illegal drug sales at the club.</p><p>Decarlos Tatum of Union City and Curtis Tatum of Atlanta apparently were running the club and were charged with commercial gambling and other charges.</p>
