Return to winter weather just around the corner

GAINESVILLE - The springlike weather of the past few days in Gainesville will be but a memory come Tuesday.

After four days of highs in the 60s or 70s and no freezing temperatures since December 27th, winter-like weather is about to return.

Sunday's high in Gainesville was 70. It was 67 on both Thursday and Saturday and 63 on Friday.

But, a cold front is rapidly moving our way - and temperatures which are in the mid 60s this morning, will be falling through the afternoon until they are at or near freezing tomorrow morning.

The outlook through Wendesday: highs in the 40s, lows in the 20s.
