No. 1 Vikings shake off slow start to whip Falcons

FLOWERY BRANCH - On a night when the East Hall boys basektball team saw one ranked team fall, they wanted to make sure they weren't another one of the victims.<br>

After seeing the Lady Vikings knock off No. Flowery Branch, the Class AAA No. 1-ranked Vikings looked to be headed in the same direction after leading just 16-14 at the end of the first quarter.<br>
<br>
But East Hall outscored the Falcons 59-27 over the second and third quarters to blow the game open en route to a 95-57 win.<br>
<br>
Brody Langston led the Vikings (11-2, 1-0) with 20 points and 6 blocks. Jarrenda Wheeler added 14 and Frank Davis 11 for East Hall.<br>
<br>
Flowery Branch (6-7, 0-1) was led by 14 points from Zac Swansey. Josh Sneed added 11 for the Falcons.<br>
<br>
East Hall looks to be flying high as it prepares for the first of two subregion showdowns with Gainesville on Friday at Valhalla.
