ATLANTA - Herman Favors made two free throws with no time left Tuesday night as Georgia State defeated Troy State 84-83 in the Trojans' first Atlantic Sun Conference loss of the season.<br>

The Panthers (10-4, 5-2 ASun) led for three-fourths of the game but Troy State (10-4, 6-1) rallied to an 83-80 lead with 30.7 seconds left. A Nate Williams basket cut the lead to 83-81, and after an intentional foul, Troy State's Rob Lewin missed the first half of a one-and-one with 8.3 seconds remaining.<br>

Favors was fouled as he put up a rebound as time expired, then scored his only points of the game.<br>

Williams had 19 points and 14 rebounds. D'Andre McGrew also scored 19 and Lamont McIntosh had 14 points for the Panthers. Greg Davis led the Trojans with 22 points and had nine assists, while Jerome Stamper scored 14.
