GAINESVILLE - The Fannin County girls basketball teamm never trailed in taking a 57-41 Region 7-AAA North win over Chestatee Tuesday night.<br>

The Lady Rebels (13-3, 2-1) got 23 points from Stephanie Scearce, who left the game in the second quarter with an apparent knee injury. She returned to start the second half.<br>

Chestatee (4-8, 1-2) tied the game once at 2-2 and trailed just 6-5 before Fannin got going.<br>
<br>
The Lady Rebels, behind seven consecutive points by Scearce, went on a 16-3 run to blow the game open for a 22-8 lead.<br>
<br>
Fannin lead by as many as 21 points in the third quarter. Chestatee never got as close as 14 the rest of the way.<br>
<br>
Fannin's Melissa Roberts finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Lady Rebels outrebounded Chestatee by nearly two-to-one.<br>
<br>
Erika Ryle led Chestatee with 10 points. Mallory McCord had 8 and Brooke Puckett 7 for the Lady War Eagles.
