Habersham County Coroner to run for Court Clerk office

CLARKESVILLE - Habersham County Coroner David Wall has announced he will run for County Clerk of Superior Court.

"I wanted to break into a different area of a career, and that's where I have a lot of strong interest," Wall says.

Qualifying isn't until April 26-30, but Wall adds, "I did want to go ahead and announce a little early and go ahead and start campaigning. Get the word out that I am running."

Wall says his decision means that if he qualifies to run for the seat, he will have to give up his position as Coroner. He says it is his intention to qualify on the Republican ticket.

If he is qualified and elected, Wall would take the new office in January 2005.
