The Elephants had climbed to as high as seventh in recent polls.<br>

Gilmer County at No. 6 and Grayson at No. 7 are the only Area 3 teams in the latest poll released Monday. Dublin is ranked No. 1 and Lovett no. 2 in Class AAA.<br>

In other teams around northeast Georgia, powerhouse Jefferson is still No. 1 in the Class A poll. Commerce climbed from 10th to ninth.<br>

In Class AA, Dawson County remianed atop the poll just ahead of Morgan County. Apalachee was tied with Rockmart for sixth and Lumpkin County was eighth.<br>

North Forsyth was seventh in latest Class AAAA poll. Lafayette was No. 1 in that poll.
