Falcons knock off West Hall in Region 7-AAA softball

MURRAYVILLE - West Hall, which advanced all the way to the Class AAA Final Four last year in softball, got off to a slow start in Region 7-AAA play Tuesday.<br>

The Spartans were shut down by North Hall's Haley Bower in 5-2 loss to the Trojans.<br>
<br>
Bower tossed a complete-game, three-hitter to earn the win.<br>
<br>
North Hall's Emily Romine and Brooke Smith had two hits.<br>
<br>
West Hall will take on arch-rival Johnsonat home on Thursday while North Hall will play at Flowery Branch.<br>
<br>
In other action, Flowery Branch whipped Fannin County 12-1.<br>
<br>
Brittney Maddox went 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs and Kim Pope went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs. <br>
<br>
Holli Lewis pitched a complete-game for the Falcons.<br>
<br>
the Falcons will play host to North Hall Thursday.
