GAINESVILLE - Hall County school officials Friday began the second phase of compliance with the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
The school system is offering free tutorial services to certain students at four schools. The first phase was to offer students the chance to transfer to another school.
School system spokesman Gordon Higgins says parents have until next Friday to return the applications which are going home with students Friday.
The tutoring is being offered to children of low-income parents at East Hall Middle School and Jones, Lyman Hall, and Myers elementary schools.
Higgins says it may be one-on-one or in small group settings.
