CONWAY, S.C. - David Caudill threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns as Morehead State beat Coastal Carolina 31-6 on Saturday night. <br>

Caudill put the Eagles (1-1) up for good early hitting Eli Parkes on touchdowns of 14 and seven yards in the first quarter. Tyler Sloan added two more scores on the ground, the first one give Morehead State a 21-6 lead at halftime. <br>

Aundrea Perkins, who rushed for 85 yards on 11 carries, had the Chanticleers (1-1) only score on a 13-yard run that cut the lead to 14-7. <br>

Most of the 5,309 fans that came out for the team's second-ever game left disappointed. <br>
<br>
The Eagles outgained Coastal Carolina 411-158 in total yards, had 25 first downs compared with the Chanticleers' seven and Morehead State converted more than half of its third downs.
