DAWSONVILLE - Dawson County will travel to Apalachee in both teams' Region 8-AA opener. The Tigers (1-1) were shut out two weeks ago by Athens Academy. Apalachee (0-2) has scored just 7 points in losses to Jefferson and Grayson.<br>

In other Region 8-AA Banks County and Wesleyan will tangle in Norcross. The Leopards (1-1) are coming off a 35-14 loss to Class A No. 5-ranked Commerce last week. Wesleyan (1-1) beat Blessed Trinity 6-0 last week. <br>

Union County will play host to Class AA No. 3-ranked Greater Atlanta Christian. The Panthers (1-1) are coming off a 26-8 win over Towns County last week. GAC (2-0) beat Class AAA Westminster 12-7 last week.<br>

Buford is playing host to Rabun County in the other region game. Lumpkin County is off this week.
