GAINESVILLE - Part of Old Athens Road in Gainesville will be closed to through traffic for more than a month beginning Wednesday.<br>

The road will be closed between Harrison Drive and Brown Street for sewer line construction. <br>

The stretch of road is not expected to reopen until September 17.<br>
<br>
City officials urge motorists to use alternate roads and avoid the area if possible - and to watch for construction workers and equipment in the area.<br>
