Name of drowning victim released

CLEVELAND - White County Coroner Ricky Barrett released the name of the 62-year old man who drowned Sunday while Canoeing down the Chattahoochee.

Barrett said officials had some trouble locating family members of Ronald Robert Strohl of Mt. Airy.

According to authorities Strohl was canoeing with others, when one of the canoes got stuck and he got out to free it. After freeing the canoe he told a girl "you're on your own", and then fell backwards.

Barrett said an autopsy revealed that Strohl died of drowning due to cardio vascular disease, the death has been ruled accidental.
