PEACHTREE CITY - The remnants of Tropical Storm Bill are expected to drench most of Georgia over the next few days - and a flash flood watch has been posted for Gainesville and the rest of northeast Georgia.
Forecasters also say there is a chance for tornadoes and damaging wind storms in the area as the storm system moves northeastward across the southeast. But, no tornado watches have been posted for northeast Georgia at this time.
However, a tornado watch is in effect for a number of counties in west and south Georgia.
Rains of up to two inches are possible by Wednesday morning in the Gainesville area.
