Interviewing judgeship hopefuls

By by Ken Stanford
GAINESVILLE - The state Judicial Nominating Commission was scheduled to begin conducting interviews Monday for a second fulltime judgeship for State Court of Hall County.

The position was approved by the state legislature earlier this year; it received a 3-to-2 vote of support February 27 from the Hall County Commission.

The only fulltime state court judgeship in the county is now held by Charles Wynn.

The interviews of candidates for the position is scheduled to conclude Wednesday.

The appointment will be made by the governor from among a list of up to five people recommended by the Judicial Nominating Commission.
