Clarkesville man in hunt at Georgia Junior golf tourney

MACON - Michael Gordy of Clarkesville is three shots off the pace after the opening round of the Georgia Junior golf championship at Idle Hour Club in Macon.<br>

Defending champion Brian Harman of Savannah has a one-stroke lead. Harman shot an opening-round, one-under 69 Monday. <br>
<br>
Troy Bartkowicz of Sharpsburg and Chris Smith of Alpharetta are tied for second at 70. Alone in fourth is Hugh Morrison of Macon at 71. <br>
<br>
Five others are bunched at 72. They are Gordy, Joshua Chong of Alpharetta, Jarod Trammell of Jasper, Rob Bennett of Augusta and Chris Nicol of Kennesaw.
