MARKHAM, ILLINOIS - A jury found Atlanta Hawks forward Glenn Robinson guilty Thursday on domestic battery and assault charges but innocent on an unlawful possession of a firearm charge. That's according to a spokesman for the Cook County State's Attorney's office.
Spokesman Jerry Lawrence says jurors deliberated about two hours after testimony ended in Robinson's trial, which started Wednesday.
Cook County Circuit Court Judge Christopher Donnelly is expected to sentence Robinson later Thursday.
In July, Robinson was charged with domestic battery, assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Prosecutors say Robinson went to the Chicago Heights home of Jonta French, his ex-fiancee and mother of his daughter, and pushed and threatened her, demanding to know where she put a pistol he had left there. Robinson apologized publicly at the time.
In February, a judge issued a warrant for Robinson's arrest because he missed a hearing in the case. The warrant was set aside when Robinson later appeared in court.
