NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - Worth Scott's two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth Sunday gave Vanderbilt a 6-5 win over Tennessee and its first berth in the Southeastern Conference tournament since 1996. <br>

Vanderbilt (27-26, 14-16 Southeastern Conference) trailed 5-4 after Tennessee's Jimbo Watson drove home Javi Herrera in the eighth. Scott then hit his third home run of the season off Luke Hochevar (6-5). <br>

Tennessee (31-24,13-17) failed to qualify for the tournament that begins Wednesday in Hoover, Ala. The Commodores qualified by finishing a half game ahead of Florida in the East Division. The Gators lost 7-5 to Kentucky on Sunday. <br>

The Vols trailed 2-0 before scoring three runs in the fifth, two of them on a double by Jordan Czarniecki. <br>

Vanderbilt went ahead 4-3 in the sixth on a solo home run by Ryan Klosterman, his fourth, and a fielder's choice that scored Matt Zeller. Czarniecki tied it in the seventh with an RBI single. <br>

Matt Buschmann (5-2) got the win with two innings of relief.
