Two Clemson linebackers ruled ineligible

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA - Two Clemson linebackers are academically ineligible to play next season, the university says. <br> <br> Coach Tommy Bowden said he was hopeful Kelvin Morris and Brandon Jamison would return to the team for the 2004 season. <br> <br> ``They&#39;ll have the opportunity to return to school, get their work done and earn their degrees,&#39;&#39; Bowden said. ``We would love to have them back in the program.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Both players transferred from Southwest Mississippi Junior College. <br> <br> Morris had 48 tackles last season as a backup at the rover position. His status for next season was already uncertain because of a knee injury. <br> <br> Jamison, who played in every game last season, had 48 tackles.
