Sowers (5-4) allowed two runs as he scattered eight hits over eight innings for Vanderbilt (21-19, 9-10 Southeastern Conference). <br>

Shortstop Ryan Klosterman and catcher Jonathan Douillard each homered for the Commodores, driving in two runs apiece. Ryan Godfrey and Zach Simpson also drove in runs for Vanderbilt. <br>

Karl Amonite went 2-for-5 for Auburn (31-12, 12-7), driving in two runs. <br>

Arnold Hughey (4-4) took the Auburn loss. He allowed all seven Vanderbilt runs.
