GAINESVILLE - Funeral services will be held at Friday for Gainesville businessman Ed Daniel.
Daniel, 57, died Tuesday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
He was president of Carroll Daniel Construction Company in Gainesville for more than 30 years. The firm has been a major player in the northeast Georgia construciton industry for more than 50 years.
Daniel was a one of the founders of Lanier National Bank, which is now BB&T. He also had been active in the Gainesville Housing Authority and the Gainesville Airport Authority, among other things.
The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 at First Baptist Church on Green Street in Gainesville.
