Georgia quarterback Rauch selected to Hall of Fame

ATHENS - Former University of Georgia quarterback John Rauch has been selected to the College Football Hall of Fame Monday. <br>

Rauch set a record for most career college passing yards, with 4,044 yards in four-year college career. He was the first player to start in four consecutive bowl games and started all 45 games of his college career from 1945 to 1948. <br>
<br>
He played under coach Wally Butts on the 1946 Williamson poll's national championship team that went 11-0 and beat North Carolina in the Sugar Bowl. <br>
<br>
Rauch and running back Charley Trippi combined to lead the team to victory that season.
