Moratorium on liquor store applications

FLOWERY BRANCH - The Flowery Branch City Council Tuesday night imposed a three-month moratorium on package store applications.

At the same time, the council delayed for at least a few more weeks a vote on a pending application for a liquor store that would be located at the McEver Road/Jim Crowe Road intersection.

People living near the intersection have voiced opposition to the plans which also include a small shopping center.
