Lady Dawgs fall to LSU

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA - Temeka Johnson hit a jumper and a pair of free throws in the last 31 seconds to give Number Five Louisiana State a 68-64 victory over Number 18 Georgia Sunday.<br> <br> Seimone Augustus had 24 points, 18 of them in the second half, and a career-high 19 rebounds for LSU (18-1, 6-1 SEC). Aiysha Smith added 17 points. Alexis Kendrick scored 17 points and Marquita Driskell added 13 for Georgia (14-4, 5-1).<br> <br> The Tigers held a three-point lead at the start of the second half. Augustus quickly pushed the Tigers&#39; lead to 35-28 with a layup on a pass from Doneeka Hodges and a pair of free throws. The Bulldogs cut the Tigers&#39; lead to 63-61 with two foul shots by Kara Braxton. LSU led 31-28 at the break despite falling behind by nine in the opening minutes and going 12-of-36 in the first half.<br> <br> Georgia played much of the game without 6-foot-5 center Christi Thomas, who was forced to the bench less than six minutes into the game with two fouls. She fouled out with 8:43 left after scoring ten points.
