POWDER SPRINGS - Cobb County police have identified a Dallas, Georgia, man who was killed along a suburban Atlanta road. <br>

Police say a mid- to large-size truck or van struck and killed 55-year-old John Howard Phillips as he was walked in the median along James Parkway just before 4 a.m. Tuesday. <br>

Police spokesman Corporal Dana Pierce says Phillips had left his home on foot shortly after arguing with his sister. <br>
<br>
No arrests have been made. Police are asking anyone who sees a vehicle with heavy front-end damage to call the police department's traffic unit.
