Children evacuated from school as drug agents make arrest

VILLA RICA - A lockdown in an elementary school in south Paulding County has ended after police arrest two men in a nearby house on drug charges. <br> <br> Authorities a short standoff ended about 9:30 a.m. with the arrests of 21-year-old Lonnie Eugene Butler Junior and 42-year-old Gary Wayne Butler. Police said no one was injured during the arrests. <br> <br> School superintendent Trudy Sowar said students who had already arrived at New Georgia Elementary School when the incident began at 7:30 a.m. were being cared for. <br> <br> She says buses carrying other students to school were redirected to a nearby church and that no students were injured. <br> <br> The school is off Georgia 61, between Dallas and Villa Rica in the New Georgia community. <br> <br> The two men arrested are being held at the Paulding County Detention Center on drug, weapons and RICO charges.
