Former Brave Justice hangs up cleats

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA - Former Atlanta Braves outfielder David Justice is going through with his decision to retire.

Justice said after Oakland's playoff loss to Minnesota that he intended to quit baseball. Thursday, he reiterated his playing days are over after 14 seasons.

The 36-year-old Justice went to the playoffs 10 times in 12 seasons, winning World Series titles with Atlanta in 1995 and the New York Yankees in 2000.

He hit the winning homer in the 1-0 deciding victory for the Braves against Cleveland. A three-time All-Star, Justice also played for the Indians and Oakland.

Justice is the all-time postseason leader in games played, at-bats, RBIs and walks, Justice finished his career with a .279 batting average, 305 home runs and 1,017 RBIs.
