Cisneros: Hispanics to play key role in housing future

By By Scott Kimbler
ATLANTA - A former Clinton administration cabinet member said Hispanics will play a key role in the future of residential development in this country.

Former Housing and Urban Development Director Henry Cisneros, during a symposium in Atlanta, said 53 percent of Hispanics rent housing and whites come in at 23 percent.

Earlier this year Hispanics were named the most populous minority in the U.S.; in Hall County they command 20 percent of the population.

Cisneros said such numbers cannot be ignored.
