Five arrested on meth charges in Barrow County

By By Robin Banks
WINDER - A traffic stop in Barrow County Tuesday morning netted five arrests for methamphetamine.

A deputy made the stop on Highway 316 because he noticed the driver and passenger were not wearing their seat belts.

Sheriff's Captain Murray Kogod says the officer then discovered the driver did not have insurance. Charles Brady, 57 and Phil Boss, 47, both of Bethlehem, face several traffic charges as well as three counts related to possessing meth.

Through those arrests, investigators were able to trace the meth back to a lab operated by Michael Dwane Wages, 42, Winder, Robbie Junior Towler, 35 and his wife Terrie Wester Towler, 32.

All five are in the Barrow County Detention Center.
