No. 12 Georgia 92, Morehead State 42

<p>Kara Braxton had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 12 Georgia to its most lopsided win in nearly two years, 92-42 Monday over Morehead State in the Comfort Suites Classic.</p><p>Georgia (9-2) trailed only once, at 2-0, and scored 26 straight points during one second-half stretch when Morehead State (3-5) went more than eight minutes without a point.</p><p>Sherill Baker and Jessica Pierce added 16 points each for the Bulldogs, who posted their largest winning margin since a 105-36 rout of Morris Brown on Jan. 7, 2002. Pierce also grabbed 11 rebounds, while Baker had five steals and six assists.</p><p>Megen Gearhart led Morehead State with 15 points.</p><p>Morehead State shot 24.5 percent from the field and didnt manage baskets on consecutive possessions until the final minute of the first half. The Eagles trailed 46-24 at halftime.</p><p>Morehead State pulled within 46-29 in the first minute of the second half but could get no closer. Georgia led 58-36 with 12 minutes left and extended its lead to 84-36 before Morehead State scored again.</p>
